I had the courageous decision to get my first tattoo, and I'm so glad I did it here. These artists and staff deserve the world! Neil was so patient with me and made sure I was okay, even through fainting and lightheadedness. He was sure to give me breaks, candy, and even a soda. He had created my design into something more and it turned out beautifully. Reasonably priced and excellent service! I will continue to recommend this studio to anyone and everyone! Read Less

Recently got a tattoo here, and was very impressed with how I was treated. The artist who did my piece, Neil, did an awesome job communicating and making sure that I was getting what I wanted. At the start he asked me many question about the idea I had to make sure he understood what I was looking for, and afterwards he continuously asked me questions and gave me input on how to design the tattoo. In the end, it came out better than I could have hoped for and I look forward to getting my next tattoo done there. Read Less

Man I had the worst tattoo in the history of worse tattoos and Alex transformed it into something totally Awesome! The man knows his craft. If you have a tat that you need to get rid of that's where you want to go. It takes a true artist to do what he did. I got my first tattoo done here today and it went really well! My friend and I did a lot of research and ended up choosing this place because of a friends recommendation and the cost: $50 minimum. A lot of places in northern Virginia wanted $150 which we knew was too high. I got line work of a paper crane on my forearm and my friend got the Harry Potter book page stars on her wrist. We got them done together with Shawn and he was so kind and helpful. We went on Saturday which is when they do by first come first serve only. We weren't the first ones there but since our tattoos were small they were very good at getting us in and out but still making sure the tattoos were done with care. The shop itself is really small and a little cramped - we couldn't sit down until someone went back for their session- and we had a little bit of a tough time finding it but once we got in they were really nice. My daughters and I just had matching tattoos done by Neil. This was my first one and I was very nervous. I had checked out a few other places but was really impressed with my first experience here. Sharon answered all my questions ( and I had lots!) and was extremely helpful getting us an appointment while trying to coordinate our schedules.Neil was just fantastic! Very detailed about the process and what to expect. And carefully reviewed how we should care for our tattoos. Everything went better than I expected! On the positive, the work is great. Really, that is the most important thing hence the ratingSpoke to both Evan and Neil (sp?) over the phone and they are very nice. Evan called multiple times to ensure the design I submitted (a half sleeve) was being redrawn to my liking. They called at 3:00 pm the day before my appt which was a bit inconvenient but I appreciate the attention. The artist, Jason, was phenomenal. Normally, when you get an appointment with such a talented artist, they are jerks. Not the case with Jason - really nice, very attentive, and skilled. He stayed 3 (THREE!!!!) hours past closing to finish my tattoo. When he was done, I could not believe how low the price he quoted me was and he said it was due to him coming in "late" that morning. How do you not tip at least 25% on that?!Highly recommend. Read Less

I felt very at ease with Neil and he took the time to custimize the lettering for my tattoo and was determined to make sure I loved the piece. Price was very reasonable compared to other shops. Me and my fiance both got our tattoos done at body art tattoos and had no problem setting up a time to come in and tell them what we wanted. It took them a while to draw up a custom, very detailed phoenix (understandable) but lettering was able to be done on a walk-in basis. This shop is definatly first come-first serve, so get there early (10am or earlier). They're very nice and take alot out of their time to make sure you have what you want. Pretty expensive, but I've seen worse. Read Less
